A delightful visit to a wonderful hotel, fantastic front desk, staff and wonderful food. The rooms were spacious and all had a beautiful view of the valley. This is a hidden gem. The restaurants nearby are delicious with special emphasis on gourmet meal at treetop. Alicia from the front desk and Melissa from the restaurant were especially friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.

What a beautiful hotel…easily the nicest in my 11 days in Costa Rica. The food and drinks in the hotel restaurant were also excellent. I have to compliment the gardener, the gardens throughout the hotel were stunning. Shoutout to my man Manfred, he was super helpful with any questions and tended to anything I needed. PURA VIDA!

I had a wonderful time at Hotel Ficus. The rooms were very clean, spacious, and had a great view of the city and sunset. Aylin and the staff were very warm, friendly, and hospitable. The best part was having an incredible view of the sunset (maybe the best in Santa Elena) during happy hour. The hotel drinks were quite delicious to top it off. Overall, I would highly recommend staying here for any traveler going to Monteverde.

My wife and I spent the start of our honeymoon here and everything went perfectly. The staff are incredibly friendly and always offering to help and make your stay as relaxed as possible. Couldn’t ask for more. The rooms are excellent as well, and I really don’t think the photos on the sites do them justice. They are like mini apartments with lots of space, a dressing room, big bathrooms and nice beds. The location is great, about a 5 minute walk from the centre of town. It is up a hill but it is worth it for its location as you great nice sunset views from the hotel bar

A lovely hotel. We loved it here, traveled around Costa Rica and this was our favourite hotel we stayed in. We were lucky to have a great view of lake Arenal. Also we were lucky to see so much wildlife around the hotel. The room is a big size with a decent bathroom. Breakfast was a buffet with a good choice. Staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Ficus. The quality of the service received here was outstanding. The front desk personnel staff members here are very helpful, and gave tips on where to visit and sight see. The staff members at the restaurant were also wonderful, and the quality of the food and drinks was very good. They even gave me a slice of cake as a birthday celebration. I think the staff really understands what customer service is about, and these personal touches really helps the guest experience. The lodge is spacious, and clean. The location of the hotel is close to other areas e.g. orchard garden, cafes, malls.
